Fall 2019 Newsletter
As the Fall and holiday season approaches, we would like to thank you for supporting mental health and family wellness in your community throughout 2019. We are all touched or impacted by mental health in some way. With community input and partnerships, PCFSA will continue to make an impact for those who need the support.
In May 2019, we launched the Encouraging Possibilities in Community (EPIC) Campaign in support of Mental Health. With the increased demand for counselling services on the Westshore and across the CRD, we are actively seeking community partners, monthly donations and sponsorship at all levels.
Our clients face life challenges such as parenting concerns, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, family violence, sexual abuse, exploitation and substance use. On average we respond to 40-50 emails per week through the online counselling program, “YouthTalk”. These individuals are vulnerable youth, some of whom are contemplating suicide. This program is currently not funded.
We urgently need the support of community members like yourself to assist us with the growing demand for quicker access to youth and family services for those who are struggling to cope.
The work we do at Pacific Centre Family Services changes lives! Our trauma informed space provides a safe place for clients to come to gain hope and work through their individual life challenges. Click here to read some of Our Stories.
If you are interested in learning about sponsorship, naming opportunities and other ways to support, please contact main reception at 250-478-8357. For direct donations, please click here.
