PCFSA provides a range of counselling and social services for residents across South Vancouver Island. These include work with isolated seniors, individuals addressing family violence, youth outreach and email counselling, youth gang and exploitation prevention and intervention, family and couples counselling, counselling to address substance use, mental health counselling, and trauma therapy.

Community Health Centre – Medical Services

The Westshore Community Health Centre (WSCHC) is a new multidisciplinary primary care centre operated by Pacific Centre Family Services Association (PCFSA) which is designed to bring low-barrier, trauma-informed coordinated healthcare to the underserved populations of the Westshore and their families.

Senior Ride Connect

Program Overview

Seniors Ride Connect helps older adults stay connected, independent, and active by improving access to transportation and mobility supports. The program provides subsidized rides to healthcare appointments, shopping, essential errands, and social activities, helping seniors maintain their health, well-being, and community connections.

In addition to transportation assistance, Seniors Ride Connect offers educational opportunities and personalized support to help older adults navigate a variety of transportation options. Services include driving refresher workshops, guidance on using ride-sharing and transportation apps, and support in accessing local transit services. By reducing transportation barriers, the program promotes independence, social inclusion, and healthy aging within the community.

What We Offer

  • Subsidized Rides to healthcare appointments, shopping, and social outings
  • In Classroom Driving Refreshers – registration is required
  • Training & Support for navigating transportation apps like Uber, ride shares, and local transit systems

Who is Eligible?

Services are available to participants in our Better at Home program and to other seniors aged 65 and older, particularly those living in underserved communities, including Colwood, Langford, Metchosin, Sooke, Highlands, Scia’new First Nation, Pacheedaht First Nation, and T’Sou-ke First Nation. Priority is given to seniors with low to modest incomes, low to moderate frailty, or who experience social isolation, as well as those from underserved groups such as Indigenous Elders, immigrants, 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, caregivers, and persons with disabilities.
