More On Our Services

Safer Families Program

Provides community-based counselling for adults aged 19+ who have used control, abuse or violence in an intimate relationship and want support to build safer, healthier relationships.

The program focuses on emotional regulation, respectful communication, non-violent coping strategies, parenting awareness, and understanding the impact of violence.

What We Offer

Services include individual counselling, group counselling, consultation, case collaboration, and referrals to community supports.

How To Get Connected

The program serves eligible clients in Colwood, Langford, Sooke, and Sidney, with referrals primarily from MCFD, the Regional Domestic Violence Unit, probation officers, social workers, and self-referrals.

Group counselling is free, and individual counselling is free for eligible referred clients or available at $30/session for self-referrals.

For intakes, referrals, and general counselling program information, please contact the intake counsellor at 250.940.4373 or by email at intake@pcfsa.org. All referrals begin with an intake to help us understand the person’s needs and determine whether our program can provide the right care within its mandate. When we are unable to offer services, we will do our best to suggest other appropriate supports or resources. Intakes can be done by phone, email or in person with a scheduled appointment.

This program is funded by the Ministry of Children and Family Development and Civil Forfeiture.
