Community Outreach, Prevention and Education Program
Free, community-based support for children and youth ages 5–18 living primarily in Langford and Colwood. The program provides early intervention for mild to moderate mental health and emotional well-being concerns, including anxiety, low mood, emotional regulation, stress, social challenges, adjustment difficulties, and early behavioural concerns.
What We Offer
Services may include individual counselling, group programming, outreach, parent/caregiver support, psychoeducation, and collaboration with schools and community partners. Support is trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate, and focused on helping children, youth, and families build coping skills, resilience, healthy relationships, and stronger connections to school and community.
How To Get Connected
Children, youth, caregivers, schools, RCMP, and community agencies can contact us directly to ask about the Community Outreach, Prevention and Education Program. Referrals are accepted from SD62 schools and staff, RCMP, community agencies, youth, and families.
For intakes, referrals, and general counselling program information, please contact the intake counsellor at 250.940.4373 or by email at intake@pcfsa.org. All referrals begin with an intake to help us understand the person’s needs and determine whether our program can provide the right care within its mandate. When we are unable to offer services, we will do our best to suggest other appropriate supports or resources. Intakes can be done by phone, email or in person with a scheduled appointment.
This program is funded by the City of Colwood and the City of Langford.
