Affordable Community Counselling Program

The Affordable Community Counselling Program provides low-cost individual counselling for adults aged 19+ who are experiencing mental health, relationship, family, work, grief, trauma, stress, or life-transition concerns and who may face financial barriers to accessing private counselling.

What We Offer

Services are provided by Master’s-level practicum interns completing graduate training in counselling psychology or social work, under the supervision of experienced Registered Clinical Counsellors, at $30 per session.

Services are also provided directly by experienced Registered Clinical Counsellors at $90 per session which may be paid privately or covered through extended health benefits or third-party funding sources such as ICBC, the Crime Victim Assistance Program, or the First Nations Health Authority.

Counselling is client-centred, trauma-informed, and goal-focused, with support tailored to each person’s needs. Sessions are available in person, virtually, or by phone.

How To Get Connected

Referrals are accepted from individuals, community agencies, primary care providers, social workers, and other community partners.

For intakes, referrals, and general counselling program information, please contact the intake counsellor at 250.940.4373 or by email at intake@pcfsa.org. All referrals begin with an intake to help us understand the person’s needs and determine whether our program can provide the right care within its mandate. When we are unable to offer services, we will do our best to suggest other appropriate supports or resources. Intakes can be done by phone, email or in person with a scheduled appointment.

This program is funded by Community Action Initiative, Community Gaming and United Way.
