Youth and Family Program
Free, trauma-informed counselling, case management, outreach, group programming, parent-teen mediation, and caregiver support for youth ages 12–18 living in the Western Communities, including Colwood, Langford, Sooke, Metchosin, View Royal, and Highlands. The program supports youth experiencing challenges such as emotional distress, family conflict, school stress or disengagement, peer conflict, housing instability, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, unsafe or exploitative relationships, and other life stressors.
What We Offer
Services are youth-centred, strengths-based, and focused on safety, emotional regulation, healthy relationships, life skills, family connection, and access to community resources. Youth and families may access counselling sessions in our office, at school or community settings, virtually, or by phone.
How To Get Connected
Referrals are accepted from individuals, MCFD Social Workers, SD62 schools and staff, RCMP, and other community agencies.
For intakes, referrals, and general counselling program information, please contact the intake counsellor at 250.940.4373 or by email at intake@pcfsa.org. All referrals begin with an intake to help us understand the person’s needs and determine whether our program can provide the right care within its mandate. When we are unable to offer services, we will do our best to suggest other appropriate supports or resources. Intakes can be done by phone, email or in person with a scheduled appointment.
This program is funded by the Ministry of Children and Family Development.
