PCFSA provides a range of counselling and social services for residents across South Vancouver Island. These include work with isolated seniors, individuals addressing family violence, youth outreach and email counselling, youth gang and exploitation prevention and intervention, family and couples counselling, counselling to address substance use, mental health counselling, and trauma therapy.

Community Health Centre – Medical Services

The Westshore Community Health Centre (WSCHC) is a new multidisciplinary primary care centre operated by Pacific Centre Family Services Association (PCFSA) which is designed to bring low-barrier, trauma-informed coordinated healthcare to the underserved populations of the Westshore and their families.

Booking Intake

  1. ALL visits are occurring remotely first, by video or by phone. If a physical exam is necessary, we can arrange for that to be done; either with us or with a local referral clinic.

  2. Make sure you are able to accept blocked calls on your phone as this may be how your physician will reach you for any telemedicine appointments.
  3. If you have been booked for an in-person appointment with us:
    1. Please do not attend the office if you have any symptoms of COVID-19 (click here for a comprehensive list).

    2. ALL patients are asked to wear a MASK to their appointment.

    3. We ask that you come alone to your appointment if possible

    4. Please wait outside or in your car until your appointment time

    5. When it is time for your appointment, please knock on the clinic door and then step 6ft/2m back.

      • If there was a patient prior to you that has not yet exited, you may be asked to wait outside until we have space to accommodate you.

    6. The door will be unlocked for you, we will provide you with a new medical mask.

    7. Immediately perform hand hygiene at our sanitization station.

    8. You will then be directed into a clinic room, there will be no waiting in the waiting room.

    9. Your appointment is for a FOCUSED PHYSICAL EXAM for the issue discussed previously. It will be intentionally brief, and please keep all other questions or concerns for a follow up appointment.
