Clinical Counsellor – Short Term Integrated Community Counselling
Grid Level: Grid 16 BCGEU Community and Social Services
Hours: 2 positions – each 1.0 FTE (job share may be considered)
Description:
Providing short term (up to 12 sessions) counselling to clients with moderate mental health concerns and/or substance use concerns referred through the Centralized Access and Rapid Engagement Service program (CARES) through Island Health in collaboration with Pacific Centre Family Services Association (PCFSA). Clients may be offered in person or group support via in-person and/or telehealth services.
This is a full-time position of 35 hours per week.
Qualifications:
The candidate must have a master’s degree in Counselling or equivalent and be registered with BCACC, BCCSW, or CCPA. A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is required.
The candidate must have experience providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families, using a variety of treatment modalities. Training in DBT, EMDR or Somatic Experiencing is an asset.
